Abstract:
Aggregate with good qualities and traits needed for pavement directly bear the burden of traffic and pass kelapisan
that are below. In the reality on the ground there are certain areas that are difficult to get a standard aggregate for
pavement materials, an alternative to the road pavement is utilizing local materials as an example; iron slag
aggregate. The research method is a method in laboratory experiments is making mix asphalt aggregate HRS-WC
replace the standard 10-20 aggregate mm and 0,5-10 melly meter iron slag. Testing is done by making 12 specimen
to obtain the optimum bitumen content at 7.4% and then made again 20 sample that used iron slag with variation
0%, 25%, 50%, and 100% of the values obtained result of marshall Stability, Flow, VIM, VMA and Marshall
Quotien between standards and iron slag aggregate experience increase in line with the prevailing usage iron slag
while VFB value, density, Film and Thick Asphalt between standard aggregate and iron slag decrease with the size
of the use of iron slag. Marshall test soaking the rest of 30 minutes and 24 of the results Obtained the highest value
of the remainder marshall 92.26 % on variations 100 % iron slag . Aggregate iron slag aggregate the which meet the
