The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of discipline (X1)
and motivation (X2) and work spirit on employee performance at
Starbucks Makassar branch. This research is a type of explanatory
research, namely research that looks at the influence between variables.
The population in this study were all employees of Starbucks Makassar
Branch. The data collection method in this study was a questionnaire.
The data analysis method uses descriptive and quantitative methods,
namely Simple Regression Analysis which is used to measure the effect of
Motivation and Work Discipline on Employee Performance at the Gowa
Regency Social Service Office. Based on the F test, the F-count result is
9.689, which is greater than the F-table 2.69. Discipline, motivation and
work spirit together have a simultaneous and partial effect on employee
performance and the most dominant variable is the X2 variable
(motivation). Based on the T-test Discipline (X1) and motivation (X2)
have a positive and insignificant effect on employee performance, but
work spirit (X2) has a positive and significant effect on employee
performance. Work discipline is the dominant variable affecting

employee performance at Starbucks Makassar branch. Through testing
the Coefficient of Determination, adjusted R Square (R2) 34.3% of
employee performance can be explained by the variables of motivation,
work discipline and work spirit, while 75% of performance can be
explained by other variables not examined in this study. |
