Abstract:
Land is the most widely used material in the construction of a construction.
However, not all soils can be used as construction materials. If the land does not
meet the requirements, then the land needs to be stabilized.
In this research, wood powder stabilization materials and PCC cement are used.
This research aims to determine the strong value of free press and soil
permeability of the clay distabilized with 2% PCC cement and variated with wood
grain to determine the composition of suitable materials to increase the soil's
carrying capacity. The percentage of stabilization materials used in this research
is 2% PCC cement, then varied with wood powder: 0%, 5%, 10%, and 15% and
then done the squeeze for 7 days before testing. For the results of the research
of strong press freely obtained maximum value on the composition of 2% PCC +
5% Wood powder is 0691 kg/cm ². Meanwhile, for the testing of permeability the
value of permeability coefficient is increasing along with the addition of wood
powder.
