dc.description.abstract Concrete is a material that generally becomes the community's need for construction infrastructure facilities which is increasing, therefore the selection of concrete as the main raw material for building construction is very important. Indonesia is also a developing country that has a fairly good wood production, but in every wood processing factory we often encounter sawdust residue powder which is waste from wood cutting. In wood powders there are levels of cellulose and hemicellulose which, when added to a mixture of cement and sand forming concrete, this compound will be absorbed on the surface of minerals or particles and provide additional binding strength between particles due to adhesion and dispersion, and inhibits the diffusion of water in the material due to its hydrophobic nature . Thus a stronger and relatively impermeable concrete can be produced, which can be used as construction material for special purposes, Gargulak (2001). PH or Power of Hydrogen is the degree of acidity used to assess the amount of acidity or basicity contained in a liquid. In making concrete we need to consider the quality of the water we will use because water quality can affect the strength of concrete. Because water that is not good quality can make concrete hollow, crack, and cause corrosion on the reinforcement so that the concrete becomes brittle. The purpose of this study was to determine the compressive strength value of concrete using a mixture of ironwood powder with levels of 2.5% and 5% and to compare the compressive strength value of concrete using immersion water with PH 3, PH 7, and PH 12. The results of the compressive strength test of wood powder variation of 2.5% PH 7 increased by 25.84 MPa when compared with the normal Concrete of 22.63 MPa. Likewise with Normal Concrete PH 12 increased by 24.03 MPa compared to Normal Concrete which reached 22.63 MPa. en_US
