Abstract:
The development of construction in Indonesia occurred so fast, many studies have been done to develop
construction technology ranging from construction materials to technology used in the construction itself. The
development of these construction materials can be seen from the many types of added materials used as additives
in the normal concrete mortar. These added ingredients aim to improve the quality of concrete to be better. This
study aims to study and analyze the addition of natural pebbles to the concrete mixture on the effort to increase the
compressive strength of concrete. This research was conducted in the laboratory of Civil Engineering University
of Bosowa for four months. The number of normal concrete test objects as much as 20 pieces and concrete
variations of 21 pieces with dimensions of cylinders size 15x30. This concrete soaking process is done for 28 days.
Knowing the optimal value of compressive strength obtained from the composition of natural pebble additions of
20%, 40%, and 60% and the addition of Glenium by 1% of every 1 kg cement.From the test has been obtained
concrete compressive strength of natural gravel variation with the addition of Glenium is 0% = 21,80 Mpa, 20% =
16,42 Mpa, 40% = 15,29 Mpa, & 60% = 9.62 Mpa. The concrete strength of concrete variation of natural gravel
without Glenium is 20% = 16,14 Mpa, 40% = 14,72 Mpa, and 60% = 9,06 Mpa.
