Abstract:
This research aims to know the Influence Students‘ Motivation in
Learning English through Giving Support and Constructivism Approach
contained in the material about the important of English that has been
provided and displayed at the front of the class. This study was conducted
in July 2017. The subjects were the students of class VIII-3 SMPN 25
Makassar.
In this research, there were four aspects assessed in improving
students‘ motivation, namely; enthusiasm, interested, progressed and the
results of Pre-experimental. This research was conducted in class VIII-3
with the total sample were 30 students.
The result showed that there was an increasing in the applied of
giving support and constructivism approach. It can be seen from the data
that has been collected where the total means score in Pre-test (72.5) and
Post-test (85.3). The result of T-test calculation was (12.09) was accepted
as the result of T-test was greater than T-table (12.09>2.045), thus
concluded that the use of giving support and constructivism approach can
influence of students‘ motivation in learning English in class VIII-3 students
of SMPN 25 Makassar
