Abstract:
Poultry farming is a livelihood that is close to rural communities which has a basic business function. Poultry farming has good prospects considering the high market demand for poultry products (eggs and meat). Fulfillment of animal protein needs can be met from poultry and poultry production, so the existence of poultry farms plays an
important role in meeting the animal protein needs of the community. Management of poultry farms can be done by applying the concept of livestock agribusiness, where business management is carried out in an integrated manner from upstream to downstream which is oriented towards being effective, efficient and prioritizing quality improvement so that it can provide decent profits in a sustainable manner. This community service aims to increase the income of poultry farmers through the application of livestock agribusiness concepts. Community service activities are carried out on poultry farming in Bulo Village, Panca Rijang District, Sidrap Regency. The implementation method is in the form of socialization activities, assistance and guidance in the production process, finance, human resources, marketing and technology. The model for implementing activities is in the form of Problem Based Discussion, Knowledge Transfer and Intensive Learning. The result of community service is a change in the mindset of poultry farmers in managing livestock so that they can improve the welfare of poultry farmers and village communities and ensure the sustainability of livestock.
