dc.description.abstract Transnational crime is a form of crime whose scope is to bridge the boundaries of a country. Transnational crime is not a new thing, it has been going on since ancient times. Transnational crime is a form of threat to state security. transnational crimes include human trafficking, drug smuggling, terrorism, and others. Indonesia has a very strategic location making it very vulnerable to transnational crimes. The Indonesian government issued a policy contained in Regulation no. 69 of 2015 which frees visa permits for 45 countries. Then, in September 2015, Perper No. 104 of 2015 added 90 countries. And finally issued Perpes No. 21 of 2016 concerning Visit Visa Free, 169 countries are free of Indonesian visas. This received a positive response from UNWTO (United Nations World Tourism Organization), noting that this policy made Indonesia the seventh country in the world, as well as the fourth country in the Asia-Pacific, and even became the first country in Southeast Asia regarding regulatory ease to bring in foreign tourists. This visa-free policy has not only succeeded in bringing in Indonesian tourists who have the potential to get into trouble but also has harmed Indonesian society. In this study, we want to see how the visa-free visit policy can affect the increase in the number of transnational crimes in Indonesia. uses foreign policy theory to explain the factors that apply to visa exemption and is explained by the concept of transnational crime. so that it can be seen the influence of the factors that encourage the existence of a visa-free policy it influences the number of transnational crimes in Indonesia. en_US
