dc.description.abstract This study aimed at finding the improvement of students’ speaking ability by describing strip story. This research used method Classroom Action Research (CAR). In the process of teaching and learning, the researcher did collaboration with English teacher. To get the data, the researcher used a data source, observation, speaking test, and documentation. Here, the researcher conducted two cycles and every cycle consisted of four steps, those were: planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The result of cycle I did not reach the criteria of success only four students or 16% reached the criteria of success. So, the research continued to cycle II. The result of cycle II reached the criteria of success because the result of this test was good and the result showed that eighteen students or 72% reached the criteria of success. In conclusion, strip story is a model of corporative learning or group learning that could improve students’ speaking ability and can be used in teaching learning process en_US
