Abstract:
The purpose of this research is to improve students writing skill
through think talk write technique. The result in this research is expected
to be useful for students to improve writing skill especially in descriptive
text and can help the teacher to be more creative.
This research used classroom action research. Subject of this
research is the class VIII.7 students of SMPN 23 Makassar in academic
year 2017/2018 it consist of 38 students.
The results of the research showed there is an improving of
students writing skill by using think talk technique. It can be seen from the
data that has been collected where the total mean score in cycle I (69,36)
and cycle II ( 80,60). It can be concluded that think talk write technique is
one of effective method to improve writing skill at SMPN 23 Makassar.
