Abstract:
her's personal guidance on the reading fluency of the second grade students of
SD Inpres Galangan Kapal II Makassar City. This type of research is a qualitative
research with a descriptive research design. The subjects of this study were second
grade students and second grade guardians of SD Inpres Shipyard II. Data
collection techniques used in this study are test techniques, documentation
techniques, observation techniques, and interview techniques. The results of this
study indicate that there is an influence from the teacher's personal guidance on
the reading fluency of the second grade students of SD Inpres Galangan Kapal II
Makassar City. This can be seen from the ability of students who are able to
understand and recognize letters well, pronounce the sounds of the language
correctly and do not change, and are able to understand the meaning of a reading.
The results of this study can also be seen from the tests given at the beginning
before the teacher's guidance and after the teacher's guidance, the tests given are
letter recognition tests, word reading tests, and word reading tests that have no
meaning
