Abstract:
The aim of this research was to know through procedure text can
improve students’ writing ability at SMPN 25 Makassar.
The method used in this study is pre-experiment. There were five
elements of procedure collecting data namely content, organization,
vocabulary, language use dan mechanics. Subject were students
classIX.7 of SMPN 25 Makasssar with total sample of 35 students.
Instrument used is tests pre-test and post-test.
The result of the data analysis in the previous chapter, the writer
made conclusion that video is effective to improve the students’ writing
ability of precedual text at the second years students of SMPN 25
Makassar. It also encourage the students’ motivations to share each
other,to think more by giving feedback to the writing. From the result of
data analysis, it is proven by the total score students’ of pre-test (1808)
and post-test (2720). At the level of significance, t-test value is 12,65 while
the t-table was 2,030. Through procedure text is better for students’ to
improve their writing ability, makes the students enjoy and interesting in
learning activity.
