dc.description.abstract This research is aimed to know improving students’ reading comprehension on narrative text by using story grammar strategy. The results of this study is expected to be useful for the readers, especially in using the strategy of story grammar. This research used classroom action research. The subject of this research was at the Eighth Grade Where consisted of 26 students of SMPN 25 Makassar academic year 2016/2017. This research used narrative text to got data about ability of the students in reading comprehension. The result of the test in cycle I got mean score students is 66.15%, but after evaluating in cycle II the sudents reading skill became 90.38%. from these findings, the writer made conclusion that using story grammar strategy can improve students reading comprehension at the eighth grade of SMPN 25 Makassar. en_US
