Abstract:
The implementation of SBM in education units is actually related to how the process of
determining policies must be determined by schools. The research that will be carried out by
researchers is regarding the analysis of the role of school committees in improving the quality
of education in one of the elementary schools. The researcher uses a descriptive method with
a qualitative approach because the problems discussed in this study are to describe, describe
and describe the role of the school committee in improving the quality of education in these
schools. A qualitative approach is a research procedure that produces descriptive data in the
form of written or spoken words from people and observable behavior directed at the
background and individuals in a holistic manner. The role of the school committee in
improving quality in schools is considered to be quite good. This can be seen from the roles
carried out by the school committee such as providing input in the form of suggestions on the
development of facilities and infrastructure needed by the school and the school committee
also supervises through regular meetings held at the beginning of each school year with
parents and the school regarding the committee program
