Abstract:
This study aims to evaluate the use of information technology in the development of ecommerce-based agricultural markets. The research method used is a case study by collecting
data through structured interviews, observation, and documentation. The research respondents
consisted of farmers, traders, and e-commerce users in agricultural markets. The results of the
study show that the use of information technology in the development of e-commerce-based
agricultural markets provides many benefits such as increasing market accessibility for
farmers, expanding the market share of traders, and making it easy for users to obtain
agricultural products. However, there are still several obstacles that need to be overcome, such
as the lack of infrastructure and digital literacy in rural areas, as well as problems of trust and
security of online transactions. Therefore, this study recommends increasing digital literacy
and information technology infrastructure in rural areas, as well as increasing the security and
trust of online transactions in e-commerce-based agricultural markets.
